Maybe I've worked in an office too long, or maybe I don't have enough readers, but sometimes I get a strong urge to use "Team:" as a salutation on my blog posts. So... Team: Interesting things are going on in my world so here's a brief weekend update for your amusement.

First, tomorrow night yours truly will be at Fenway Park for game 6 of the American League Championship Series. Hope it doesn't go 11 innings. Totally thrilled about this.

Second, this is the week of Blogtoberfest. Thursday's shin-dig in Boston is the brain-child of the always entertaining Jenny at alleyesonjenny. Excited about this as well as I wasn't able to go last year. If you're planning to be there, it'd be awesome if you dropped me a line beforehand.

Third, it looks like I'm going to have to start playing with CouchDB after a series of insights from Jacob Kaplan-Moss.

Fourth, more sports. Friday night I've got tickets to the final pre-season Celtics game. Their opponent? Ironically, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Who knew!

Fifth, I'm working on packaging my Django blog application and the various synchronization scripts into a functional (for other people) whole. I'm not sure how far I will go with this, but at the very least it will be some example code for people to check out. I'm also updating my UTubeAPI for Python script to use the new Google GData API.

That's all for now. Over and out!
